Participation in the Local Community Sports Day
At Kyoto Language Academy, our students participated in the local community sports day held in the area where our student dormitory is located.
On the day of the event, students enjoyed the unique atmosphere of a Japanese “undōkai” (sports day) by taking part in the competitions together with local residents and cheering each other on.
This was a valuable opportunity for students to experience Japanese culture and engage with the community—experiences that cannot be gained through classroom lessons alone.
Throughout the event, students gave their best in each competition, and many moments of smiles and laughter were met with warm applause from the local residents.
Thanks to the kindness and support of the community, our students were able to create new memories in Japan and truly feel part of the local community.
Participating in such community events allows students not only to strengthen their sense of belonging in Japanese society but also to build trustful relationships with the local community.
Kyoto Language Academy will continue to value opportunities for proactive community engagement, ensuring that students can grow as members of society while feeling supported and welcomed by the local community.

地域の区民運動会に参加しました。
京都ランゲージアカデミーでは、学生寮の所在地域で開催された区民運動会に参加いたしました。
当日は、地域の皆さまと一緒に競技に参加したり、応援をし合ったりしながら、日本ならではの「運動会」の雰囲気を学生たちが楽しみました。
学校の授業だけでは得られない、地域とのつながりや日本文化に触れる貴重な機会となりました。
学生たちは全力で競技に取り組み、笑顔あふれる姿に地域の方々から温かい声援をいただく場面も多く見られました。
地域の皆さまのご厚意により、学生たちにとって日本での新たな思い出が生まれ、地域の一員としての実感を持つことができたようです。
このような地域行事への参加を通して、学生たちは日本社会の一員としての意識を高めるとともに、地域との信頼関係を深める貴重な経験を積んでいます。
京都ランゲージアカデミーでは、今後も地域の皆さまに安心して見守っていただけるよう、積極的な地域交流の機会を大切にしながら、学生一人ひとりが地域社会の一員として成長できる環境づくりに努めてまいります。
