防災訓練を行いました。
京都ランゲージアカデミーでは、全クラス合同による防災訓練を実施いたしました。
今回の訓練は、大規模地震の発生を想定した実践的な内容として、日本での災害についてやその際の行動を座学で学んでから、7階の教室から非常階段を使用した屋外への避難誘導訓練を行いました。
本校に在籍する学生の中には、日本での防災訓練を初めて経験する者も多く、当初は緊張した面持ちで取り組む姿も見られました。中には「本当に災害が起きたような緊張感あり、少し怖かった」という率直な感想もありました。
実際の避難経路を緊張感を持ちながら、自らの足で確認したことは学生にとって大きな経験となったと思います。
この度の防災訓練は、先日実施した課外学習にて訪問した「人と防災未来センター」で防災知識を深めていた直後の実施となりました。
そのためか、学生一人ひとりの危機管理意識は非常に高く、学んだ知識を実践へと繋げる極めて有意義な機会となりました。
京都ランゲージアカデミーでは、学生が日本で安心して学業に専念できる環境の整備を最優先事項として掲げております。
今後も定期的な訓練の実施と防災体制の強化に努め、地域社会の一員として、また教育機関として、安全・安心な学校づくりに邁進してまいります。
Kyoto Language Academy conducted a comprehensive, school-wide disaster preparedness drill.
This practical exercise was designed to simulate a major earthquake. The program began with a classroom session where students studied the nature of natural disasters in Japan and essential protocols for emergency response. Following the lecture, students participated in an evacuation drill, utilizing the emergency staircases to relocate from our 7th-floor classrooms to the designated outdoor assembly point.
For many of our international students, this was their first experience participating in a formal disaster drill. While some students initially showed signs of tension—with some expressing that the realism of the drill was “a bit intimidating”—personally navigating the actual evacuation route provided them with invaluable practical experience.
This drill was strategically timed following our recent field trip to the “Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake Memorial Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution.” Thanks to the deep understanding of disaster prevention gained during that visit, our students demonstrated an exceptionally high level of risk awareness. This exercise served as a significant opportunity to translate their theoretical knowledge into practical action.
At Kyoto Language Academy, maintaining an environment where students can focus on their academic pursuits with peace of mind is our highest priority. We remain committed to conducting regular training and strengthening our disaster management systems. As a responsible member of the local community and an educational institution, we will continue to strive toward building a safe and secure school environment.
